So far this series is SO much more entertaining than The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006), it's not even a close comparison. Only pea-brained neanderthals want action without drama.

For one thing, many of the characters are actually likeable (especially the Wu Dang Taoists) unlike in Return. This series is already far more entertaining than The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006) was at this point. Guo Xiang would be DISGUSTED to see what her E Mei Sect has become. at least two of those actors returned to play Buddhist monks in Zhang Ji Zhong's Journey to the West (2012). Wu Dang Taoism really is the best sect of all (besides my own, of course). Wang Yuan Ke, on the other hand, is fucking beautiful. definitely did not recongize him with that lion's mane. Oh wow, I just found out Zang Jin Sheng plays Xie Xun. Even without An Yi Xuan and He Zhuo Yan, this series is already far superior to its predecessor.ĭrama, don't you just love using facebook, she diao san bu qu, because I watch on youtube, shen diao xia, searching is for google, she diao ying xiong zhuan, if yahoo provides as well, 神雕侠侣, checking the gmail, 射雕英雄传 Three episodes in, and the series is already FAR more entertaining than fucking The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006) was at this point. I'm really starting to hate this lion-maned douche bag Xie Xun. why the hell would there be a volcano in the ARCTIC? Does that make sense? It's unbelievable that they survived that. Holy SHIT, the trapped-under-the-glacier scene is one of the most EPIC things I've ever seen on television. Only two episodes in, and there are already WAY more colorful characters than in The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006). Zhang Ji Zhong's still reusing the same background music from his other Condor and wuxia series, apparently. That's quite a mesmerizing glare she's got. Wang Yuan Ke makes for a lovely Yin Su Su. Fuckin Shao Lin monks think their a match for a Wu Dang Taoist. Wang Wei Guo also returns for this series. Looking forward to the debuts of Ady An Yi Xuan and He Zhuo Yan. Shao Lin and Wu Dang are the first sects to appear, apparently. The old Taoist looks a lot like Wu Yue. After the disappointing The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006) (which I blame Zha Liang Yong for, not so much Zhang Ji Zhong), I'm hoping this series finishes out the trilogy in a GOOD way. Here are the comments I made while watching this series from beginning to end: And I'll take the confusing characters and storylines of Heaven Sword over the Yang Guo / Xiao Long Nü BULLSHIT any day. At any rate, both are far superior to The Return of the Condor Heroes. it's still the best of the three (although The Legend of the Condor Heroes could also DEBATABLY be considered the best). Zhang Ji Zhong's 2009 adaptation sure as hell doesn't make it any easier to take in, at least early on. due to the INSANE number of character relationships (and characters/martial arts sects in general) and backstories. At the end, he renounced his title and faced another dilemma between his lovers. The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber is by FAR the most convoluted installment of the Condor Trilogy . However, his indecisive and innocent personality made him fall into a political plot. Wuji then merge Min Jiao and martial art sects, and won a battle against Mongolia army. The contention for the Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre continued and finally the secret of it was revealed. The fate even put him to lead Min Jiao, a secret society that fight against conventional martial art sects as well as the Mongolia army. He not only survived, but also became a master of martial art. Wuji himself experienced numerous struggles. Wuji’s parents were forced to commit suicide by not telling the location of Xie Xun. Wuji was born on the island and lived a happy childhood until his parents managed to return to mainland China. They were stranded on a remote island with Xie Xun, who later became Wuji’s adoptive father. The story begins with Zhang Cuishan and Yin Susu, the parents of Zhang Wuji, were trapped in a contention for the Dragon Sabre. “The owner of Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre can rule the world”. It is a story about the life of a Martial art master – Zhang Wuji, about his love, his enemy and his struggle.

The series takes place at the end of the Mongolia Yuan Dynasty. The story is based on the 3rd edition revisions by Jin Yong. Zhang Ji Zhong's newest Jin Yong production on the last part of the Condor Trilogy.
